Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to mix smooth the clumps of cocoa as I boiled the chocolate and the frosting didnt set! Any hints or more specific instructions on the length of time for boiling so that it will thicken sufficiently, and whether I should add the ingredients to the saucepan in a particular order so that the cocoa won’t turn out...

oh the bright side
The icing doesn’t taste that bad.. but for some reason the cocoa powder didn’t dissolve completely and there are a million little cooked balls of it inside of the icing. And they don’t taste good. They taste bitter. And I already iced between all the layers of the cake.. ): I’m honestly don’t know how to fix this.

So I totally burned my finger while wearing an oven mitt.. Turns out that oven mitt got wet or something, and I didn’t even realize it.
Also, my twelve layer cake I was trying to make is shortening down to eight layers. ): I even weighed the batter and the bowls and the pans and everything and ksdflasdfj I guess I just can’t do math.
